Publication Release On World Water Day 2021: ‘Shaping the water sector to be more climate resilient’
Celebrating World Water Day 2021, six authors (Leonardo van Straaten, Thorsten Reckerzügl, Anke Verheij, Christian Wiebe, Kim Andersson, Sören Rüd) backed by five organizations (Stockholm Environment Institute, GIZ, Viva con Agua, WaterWorX and EXP-Consult) present the paper Shaping the water sector to be more climate resilient – A plea for greater and wider collaboration.
The report published under the umbrella of SuSanA describes important guidelines as well as specific approaches and regulatory framework conditions for cross-sectoral collaboration, as well as case studies from around the world.
WaterWorX presents the WOPs approach with the example of the partnership between VEI and NWSC. It showcases how partners apply asset management principles and introduce asset management information systems to support the NWSC’s efforts to continuously improve its operational performance and investment planning so as to sustain and extend water and sanitation services in rapidly growing supply areas.
