The Bali Coalition signed to strengthen training in the water sector

GWOPA has joined the Bali Coalition to enhance training initiatives in the water sector, focusing on building the capacities of water utilities and professionals. The coalition, signed during the 10th World Water Forum, aims to advocate for increased funding for training programs for many countries to develop comprehensive training networks. By mobilizing financial resources, the coalition seeks to establish and strengthen training centers for water and sanitation utilities, provide vocational training, and enhance the capabilities of utility staff.

Our involvement includes collaboration with strategic partners such as the Pacific Water Association, Australian Water Association, and Asian Development Bank (ADB). These partnerships aim to improve training efforts and outcomes in the Asia-Pacific region. The coalition will organize networking meetings, share successful projects like the EU-WOP, and continuously refine training models and practices to ensure sustainable and effective water resource management globally.
