#OperatorsStage · #Governance

Wednesday 20 October — 14.00-15.00 (CEST)

Languages: English and Spanish

Since 2014, WIN, and partners cewas and SIWI have been engaging with urban water operators globally, supporting change management processes to minimize reputational, compliance and legal risks related to integrity issues and improve performance, undertake internal reforms to strengthen integrity, and improve customer relations. It is in this light that the Integrity Management (IM) Toolbox was developed in collaboration with GIZ and cewas. To date the IM Toolbox has been adapted to improve performance and strengthen integrity in 12 countries, and with 24 water operators. The IM Toolbox is an adaptable tool that looks at integrity risks across categories such as: management and leadership, financial management, human resource management, customer relations and procurement. Further to the above, WIN developed an integrity assessment methodology for water operators with IADB and together with the IM Toolbox, a comprehensive approach titled InWASH has been developed for assessing and strengthening integrity among water operators. In this session, water operators who have worked on integrity management projects will be sharing their experiences in an interactive session.
