Wednesday 20 October — 13.00-14.00 (CEST)

Languages: English

For more than 50 years, the German Association for Water, Wastewater and Waste (DWA) has been doing training in “Neighbourhoods”. Training is conducted in peer groups, is local and is easy to follow and has produced excellent results and motivation among participants. This #OPERATORsSTAGE event will allow you to learn why this initiative has spread to Austria and the neighbouring countries. More than 20.000 staff meet annually in neighbourhoods to discuss Wastewater Treatments Plants, Sewer Systems, Rivers, Labs etc. Data are collected and published, colleagues make friends and connections, and the shared information and support improves performance. Innovative practice is easily distributed through these networks and after three years of solid education in water, this system can escort you all your professional development.
