It is the Portuguese Water Partnership’s mission to promote an effective link between professionals, institutions and companies in order to project the knowledge and skills of the Portuguese water sector in the world, and to energize opportunities in international markets and in the area of cooperation within the framework of the development of sustainable projects in line with Global Development Goals.
The PWP brings together the efforts of 120 member organizations representing the four essential components of the water cluster: companies, ranging from design to management, including equipment suppliers and construction contractors; universities and research centers, where the knowledge that is at the basis of the value chain is generated and transmitted; professional associations, that have been contributing to consolidate and give identity to the sector and public administration institutions that are part of the “Portuguese water governance model” or play a key role in its internationalization.
Areas of particular geographic focus of PWP and its members include Latin America, Sub-Saharan Africa, Eurasia and the Middle-East and North Africa, namely countries such as:
