PWN work for the provision of clean and reliable drinking water and the management of large natural areas. PWN is a water utility with approximately 500 employees, providing around 104 million cubic meters of drinking water per year at 750,000 connections to private individuals, companies, and institutions at cost price. The head office is in Velserbroek; water purification takes place in Andijk, Heemskerk, 't Gooi and in the dune area. PWN is recognized worldwide as an innovative company that develops new purification techniques. PWN also innovates in nature conservation, particularly in dynamic dune management and grazing projects. It manages a total of 7300 hectares of nature reserves between Bergen and Zandvoort where recreators visit these areas seven million times a year.
