Celebrating the UN's 70th anniversary in Barcelona

The four UN organizations operating at the Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site in Barcelona (Spain) jointed the world-wide celebration of the UN's 70th Anniversary.

The WEDC International Conference is a comprehensive and interactive learning event, which provides continued professional development for water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) sector professionals. 

On August 23rd and 24th, 2015, over 40 participants from 14 countries gathered in Miami, Florida for a training workshop entitled: “Building a Climate-Resilient Water Sector in the Caribbean: Strategies for Water Utilities”.

Local and Regional Authorities play a vital role in ensuring water security in a context where already more than half of the world’s population lives in urban areas, and urbanization is accelerating.

As a result of the European citizens' initiative, Right2Water, supported by over 1.9 million people, the European Parliament has adopted a resolution on the right to water and sanitation, with a call for WOPs to be used as a support mechanism for implementation.

Seminar organized in Paris by Aqua Publica to gather experts from the wash sector in order to seek political and management solutions for sustainable use of resources

The Sustainable Development Goals, were adopted by the United Nations General Assembly last week, setting the course for the global development agenda until 2030.

This Agenda is a plan of action for people, planet and prosperity. It also seeks to strengthen universal peace in larger freedom.
