Consumption dropped by 400m litres per day: talking with Deputy Mayor of Cape Town

"We have all had to redefine our relationship with water." Alderman Ian Neilson, Executive Deputy Mayor of the City of Cape Town.

In a video address to the participants of the World Water Forum in Brasilia, Brazil, the Executive Deputy Mayor of the City of Cape Towns explains the challenges and solutions the recent drought has brought. He concluded that, "We need to accept that the plentiful days of water supply in Cape Town may very well be over." He further emphasises the need for continued collaboration among water utilities through mechanisms like GWOPA.
